Making lemon soaps

Take advantage of lemon peel to create these adorable glycerin soaps with real lemon scent. They are easy, fun and are a nice and friendly gift. Maybe for Mother's Day? or any occasion will be an aromatic gift for your hands and your loved ones. A chance to hook you up between pots to do more than the usual family meal.

Ingredients and materials:


  • 250 grams of glycerin transparent base transparent glycerine soap or unscented
  • 1 lemon
  • Grater
  • Two containers to melt glycerin
  • Lemon essential oil
  • Silicone molds
Making lemon soaps
In a saucepan or large saucepan put water on the fire, put in a bowl and melt it glycerin water bath. Apart grate the skin of a lemon and when glycerin is melted add the lemon zest. We continue to heat until completely melted glycerin. We removed carefully melted glycerin soap and place it on the counter, previously protecting it with a cloth or trivet. Now we take the mixture between 10 and 20 drops of lemon essential oil. So get a more powerful lemon scent.

Pour the melted glycerin soap silicone molds, carefully to avoid splashes and accidental burns. We left in a safe place to cool and re-solidify the soap with added supplements. Then you just have to unmold the soaps and have a delicious way to wash our hands. We can also package them and will be a fantastic gift for any occasion.
