MAKING DECORATIVE BALL OF TWIGS ...

The author writes - it can be fun to try to make one on my own. Since we do not live near the beach, and our house is surrounded by too many trees, I decided to use what was right in front of my door - branches and twigs.

After I gathered an armful of sticks I've broken them down into about 3-inch pieces. I bought a good sized inflatable beach ball, to use as a base. Using a hot glue gun, I started to cover the ball pieces. Be sure to glue stick only with each other, and not on the beach ball so it can be easily removed and deflated in the end.

When I happen to have a big blob of glue, I just covered it with a smaller sprig. It took me a few evenings to complete, but now it's done and I love it!
