just created in order to give joy to family and friends! A traditional Easter treats, presented in the festively decorate box, seem doubly delicious.
In addition, its elegant casket views will still be reminded of the joyful days.
I present to you a detailed master-class boxes, decorated cloth technique "lazy" patchwork (kinusayga)
We need:
1. Round tin box (for our purposes is ideal box of Danish pastries)
2. Thin foam or polystyrene (in the master class, I use a piece of ceiling tiles)
3. Fabric: cotton and ideally thin fleece
4. Ribbon, cord, braid
5. Glue "Dragon", stationery glue stick, hot melt adhesive (can substitute other types of glue)
6. Sharp scissors (fabric and paper)
7. Scalpel (stationery knife will work)
8. Shiloh ripper
9. Thin marker or pen
10. Carbon paper
11. The scheme of our figure, printed on paper
12. Sisal for decoration inside of the box
Let's get started.
First, prepare the pattern. On the Internet you can find a lot of wonderful schemes for kinusayga, I liked this, and ducklings. I share it with you. Unfortunately, I do not know the author of this scheme if you know - write to me in the comments. Her need to print so that the diameter pattern coincided with cover our box.
Making basis. Take the bottom of the box, applying it to a sheet of Styrofoam or foam (I - a piece of ceiling tiles, ideal for kinusayga) encircle the contour and carefully cut out with a knife. It is necessary to trace the bottom of the box, not the cover as otherwise the circle will turn a bit more than we need.
Next translate drawing on base. Here we need a carbon copy. Cover with a circle-base carbon paper, put on top of a printed pattern and fasten the edges pushpin. Take an awl or a needle and slowly pierce our drawing contour. Carbon paper need to punctures were well visible and stood out against the white circle. Previously, I tried to translate the graphic without carbon paper is more cumbersome because garazdo then you have more direct drawing for clarity. If we use the same script, this is not necessary, drawing and so quite clearly visible.
After drawing transferred, the pattern paper so far set aside, we still need it.
Thoroughly coat with the lid adhesive ("Dragon" is ideal for this purpose, it sticks well, dries quickly and does not harm foam polystyrene), especially pay attention to the edges and glue the base to the lid. The adhesive is applied in thin layers. Then it is desirable to put the lid to the press and dry (I left it on for about an hour). On how well the foundation will stick to the cover, the result of the work depends, therefore, before proceeding with further work, make sure that the glue has dried.
Next we need to make a slit for the fabric. Gently penetrate scalpel or small knife stationery drawing the contour; slots do to the bare metal. Since Styrofoam base well bonded to the cover, our figure is not to fall apart, and will securely hold.
The fun begins! Fill the base cloth. Take the pattern paper and cut a segment of the figure. Apply it on the fabric, draw out a small allowance and cut. Applying part of the fabric to the base to make sure it is the correct size.
Coat with a piece of adhesive stationery basics - pencil (this glue is dry enough so as not to appear even through the thin fabric, it must apply a thin layer). Applying a cloth item and using the awl or seam ripper (as you prefer) pushes her to the edge of the slot, which we had previously done on the basis of. The main principle of a kinusayga - find a middle way: confident enough to push you need to hide all the slot edge detail, but rather carefully so as not to damage irrevocably basis. Now about the nuances. Each tissue in this case needs its own approach. If we use a thin fleece (such as in my ducklings) or other dense not friable tissue, allowances should be minimal, about 3 mm. If using cotton or synthetic fabrics, which are strewed - allowances do need more. If they are too big, right in the process of excess fabric can be cut with sharp scissors.
Another important point - when working with loose tissues, the less detail, the more allowances. This inverse relationship can be traced well here; duckling eyes I made from a synthetic fabric, and in order to item razlezlas during work, I leave allowances, approximately equal to the width of the part itself. Excess can always be cut, but not an additional piece ramp. By the way, for reference - to the eye is best to take a glossy fabric with small sequins or golden coat scratch, so the eyes will look more lively. Such fabric, of course, and strives raspolztis thread, but neat to work with it invariably result pleases.
Edge of the part under refuel basis, as shown in the photo.
If you need to separate one from the other part of the picture, so that they do not merge into the slot directly over the tissue handy push thin satin ribbon desired color. I use a deep yellow that separate one from another duckling.
In order to make eggs more volume relative to the background and ducklings, between the substrate and the tissue can be routed further piece of fleece.
Finished with basic decor, now make out the edge of the lid and wall boxes. I opted for a box in the right color fabric in the hem. I very much liked the combination of colors and textures. The same cloth I decorate the cover sidewall start with her. Glue the fabric to cover the glue "Dragon", then using hot melt close edge on one side cord, on the other hand - tape
Now for the part of the box, which is adjacent to the cap. Of course, it can be initially painted in the appropriate color, but I do not like way too much. I prefer primed edge tinted using wax pastels. It should be quite a bit cause streaks on the surface and rub with your fingers. First, a very beautiful, delicate color; secondly with constant exposure toned part is not damaged, unlike painted; Third, because the wax pastels, she is not only well smeared, but also allows the lid to be easily opened and closed without binding. Incidentally, stained edge not spoiled because pastels applied quite a bit.
The final stage of clearance boxes.
Closes edge ribbon and cord, decorate the cover small bow with beads at the ends.
And now, our cute Easter box technique kinusayga ready. The inside of the can to decorate the sisal fiber. If there are any questions or suggestions, please contact us.
sincerely hope that my master class will be useful for you to enjoy.
Thank you for your attention! Good luck to everyone and happy sunny days!
