It all starts from the usual pattern (I do on a sheet of newspaper) as Pattern ... painted, cut, put on board, and then cut around the contour.

Bottom tray must necessarily be either double or even triple. Now a very important condition for strengthening the bottom .. In cardboard box, as well as on the fabric, if you look closely, you can see the longitudinal and transverse stripes. Layers should be cut so that would be formed by gluing as a grid of these strips. Just so the items will hold well together. Otherwise, if all the parts were cut in the same direction, after gluing cardboard deform and bend the arc.
In my example, I only have two layers.

Here the two parts are glued together. Bead need to cut a long strip, as seen in the photo, already handles.

Bend it, according to the curves of the form. We put a little glue on the bottom of the strip and paste the bullseye on all sides. That's it.

The next stage is sectioned and seams that need to close the paper. I first used a paper "Kraft" and that would make the surface smooth, slight irregularities leveled by a conventional newspaper page. You can glue PVA glue diluted slightly with water.
